Thursday, June 11th

We are excited that Sam & Salsa, with Pure Gold Pet Trackers, will be out at 4:30pm on Friday (June 12th) to run a track on Leo from his escape point, and we thank Atlantic Region Central Border Collie Rescue for the funding for the track. (This is the rescue organization through which Leo is being fostered, or will be once he's rounded up and brought back to safety.) This is the best news we've gotten all week since there have been no reports of Leo being spotted. The bedding that Leo had spent some hours on in the short time he had been fostered before he bolted has been set aside in plastic since Monday night, so it's ready for Salsa to take the scent and figure out where Leo has been. Apparently the rains shouldn't prevent Salsa from trailing his scent.

We will post the results of the track with Sam & Salsa as soon as we get them -- sometime Friday in the early evening. If this track of Leo's travels shows us that Leo has migrated out of the Parkfairfax community, we will need to get fliers up in the new area immediately . . . well, we need more fliering immediately anyway!!! We will have volunteers out after the workday on Friday, but we need more fliering help. Can you participate?

The Lost Leo map will be updated Friday with the fliering that was done today, Thursday.
